Today was the last day to make a difference. It was day 17.

Today I made a difference by helping out a bit with the dinner and entertaining a little boy called Nicolas who came over with his parents for dinner. I knew I had made a difference because I could see my mum and Nicolas's mum appreciated it. I also got proof that they appreciated it because both my mum and Nicolas's mum reacted by saying thank you me a couple of times each.

Today was day 16 out of 17 to make a difference.

The kind gesture that I performed today was bringing in the washing without being asked. I know I made a difference because I by doing this my mum had one less thing to do. Mum reacted by thanking me and looking grateful that I had done this for her.

Today was day 15 out of 17 to make a difference.

Today I made a difference by sweeping up a whole lot of little crystals after my science teacher Mr McKenzie accidentally dropped them. I know I had made a difference because I offered to do it without Mr McKenzie having to ask me and he reacted by thanking me about three times. This told me that I had definitely made a difference.

Today was day 13 out of 17 to make a difference.

The kind gesture that I performed today was offering to put the washing away for my mum when I saw that she had just finished folding it. Mum reacted by thanking me and deeming pleased with my offer. This is how I knew I had made a difference.

Today was day 12 out of 17 to make a difference.
Today I made a difference by helping my friend Cheyenne out when she forgot her pencil case. I helped her by lending her my stationery. I could tell that I had made a difference because she said thanks and also she looked relieved that I had helped her out.

Today was day 11 out of 17 to make a difference.

Today I made a difference by making a slice to go in the school lunch boxes. My mum had heaps of work to do and she needed to bake for the lunch boxes too so I decided to help her out. I know I made a difference because my mum said thanks. She also reacted by looking really relieved that I had done this to help her and there was one less thing for her to do.

Today was day 10 out of 17 to make a difference.

The kind gesture that I performed today was helping my mum out with setting up my brother's party. I also helped sort out all the children when they arrived. I knew I made a difference because my mum thanked me and told me it was a big help. This was a good enough reaction to tell me I had made a difference.

Today was day 9 out of 17 to make a difference.

Today I made a difference by letting my brother choose what to have for dinner even though it was my turn. I know that I made a difference because my brother didn't want what I was going to choose for dinner and today he won an award so I let him choose. In the end we ended up having Hell Pizza. His reaction was saying thank you and enjoying his pizza.

Today was day 8 out of 17 to make a difference.

Today I played on freerice.com along with Cheyenne and Alan. Freerice.com is a website which is a vocabulary quiz and for every question you get right 20 grains of rice gets donated to the needy. Altogether we raised 4020 grains of rice. We did this during SSR time. I know we made a difference because the rice we raised will feed quite a few people tonight. This to me is enough proof to make me to think that we made a difference.

Today was day 7 out of 17 to make a difference.

Today the kind gesture that I performed was helping my brother with his homework. He had to draw the New Zealand flag and was having trouble so I helped him. I know I made a difference because before I offered to help him he was getting frustrated as he couldn't quite get it right. After I had helped him draw it he seemed a lot less annoyed and frustrated (he was in a much better mood). Also he thanked me. I felt good that I had helped him and I felt that I got a great reaction from him.

Today was day 6 out of 17 to make a difference.

Today I made a difference by taking a boy in my class called Matthew up to the sick bay as he had a huge lump on the side of his head. I know I made a difference because he seemed quite relieved that he was going home as he had a sore head. The way Matthew reacted to me making a difference by thanking me and appreciating what I had done for him.
(The lump on his head was HUGE!)
